About Polaris Split

A historic boat, a family crew and a simple promise — to show you the Adriatic the way it was meant to be experienced: unhurried, authentic and unforgettable.

More than a boat tour

Polaris Split was born from a love of the sea and a deep respect for the history that floats upon it. When we found her, Polaris was a weathered 1943 vessel with an extraordinary past — a survivor of the D-Day landings. We saw not an old boat, but a story waiting to sail again.

After a careful restoration, Polaris returned to the water as an elegant, characterful excursion yacht — proudly old-fashioned, full of warmth and unlike anything else leaving Split's harbor. Today she carries small groups of guests to the most beautiful corners of the Dalmatian coast.

We deliberately keep our groups small. While larger operators pack their decks, we sail at half capacity so you can find a quiet spot, stretch out and truly relax. It's the difference between a crowded boat ride and a genuine day at sea.

The Novaković family

Four generations on the sea

The sea has been in the Novaković family for as long as anyone can remember. For three generations our family worked these waters under sail alone — transporting wine along the Dalmatian coast aboard traditional wooden boats, powered by nothing but the wind.

As times changed, so did we. Our family became among the first in this region to welcome guests aboard our boats — pioneers of boat tourism on this stretch of the Adriatic, sharing the coast we know so intimately with visitors from around the world.

Today the fourth generation — our children — carries that legacy forward. The cargo has changed from wine to guests, and sail has given way to comfort, but the heart of it remains the same: a family that lives by the sea, sharing it the only way we know how — personally, proudly and with genuine warmth.

What makes us different

A boat with a soul

Polaris is no ordinary tour boat. Built in 1943, she carries decades of history in every plank and rivet — restored with care to sail again.

Family-run, not factory-run

We sail at half capacity so every guest has space to breathe. You're never just a ticket number — you're a guest aboard our family's boat.

Genuine Dalmatian hospitality

Fresh local food, an open bar and a crew who genuinely loves what they do. Hospitality the way it should be.

The hidden Adriatic

We know these waters intimately — the secluded bays, the quiet swim spots and the perfect place to watch the sun melt into the sea.
